Gifts of Stock
Thank you for your interest to support the UM Capital Region Health Foundation. Currently, gifts of stock designated for UM Laurel Regional Hospital Foundation and UM Bowie Health Center Foundation are made through the UM Prince George’s Hospital Center Foundation.
Your gifts will be transferred immediately to the preferred UM Capital Region Health Foundation upon notification of the gift and name of the preferred UM Capital Region Health Foundation. To help you facilitate a gift of stock, please use the following three simple steps:
Step 1: Initiate the Stock Transfer
Securities can be gifted in two ways: either via electronic transfer (in which your broker transfers shares using the Morgan Stanley’s Depository Trust Company (DTC) clearance, or by physically mailing the paper certificates to the UM Capital Region Health Foundation Office or our broker, Morgan Stanley. Either method is acceptable, but it is necessary for you to contact your broker to initiate the transfer. Click here to download a sample letter for your use.
Step 2: Send the Securities to our broker, Morgan Stanley
If Sending Electronically:
Ask your broker to donate through Morgan Stanley.

Step 3: Notify the UM Capital Region Health Foundation Office of the Gift of Stock by filling out the form below
Each time a gift of stock is donated, regardless of the method chosen to deliver a gift of stock, the UM Capital Region Health Foundation must collect information about the gift for audit and acknowledgment purposes. Kindly complete the form. Required fields*.
